That being said, it isn't all that surprising considering that the game is co-developed by PlatinumGames.įor those unfamiliar with the franchise, the original Granblue Fantasy is arguably the best mobile JRPG on the market, with a massive fully-voiced storyline, an enormous and diverse cast of characters, music composed by Nobuo Uematsu, fantastic artwork, and some really interesting gameplay. Considering that Cygames is a relative newcomer in the field of console development (all of the studio's largest projects are mobile games), this is really impressive. The game looks really amazing, with really fast and stylish action gameplay. Initially, they tackle some small fries, followed by a larger Goblin Knight boss. The second part is a look at battle gameplay featuring more characters from the original mobile game alongside Katalina. We also see the iconic airship Grandcypher in the background. The gameplay comes from the same demo that was showcased at Granblue Fes in December, but this time around it's not marred by the abysmal quality of the Nico Nico livestream.
